They could be away from loved ones that suffer from addiction, or away from home or in the foster care system. This comes from my heart and is meant to provide words of understanding during these times and help break down the stigmas in these circumstances because the children cannot control what is happening around them. We must do better for our children, everywhere.
In a recent interview on the Thriving Entrepreneur Radio Show, Katy said, “The book for me, gives kids and adults hope that when life gets hard and you’re in powerless situations, that you can look within and find that strength and reassurance that you can get through anything.”

Katy Rey is a co-founder of Humans First Coaching and Consulting, through which she partners with various organizations on how to put their people first. She is the founder of Fostering Hearts FL, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on supporting foster families, keeping siblings together, and mentoring kids aging out of the system. She is also the host of Tampa Bay based podcast, Not A Great Whisperer, interviewing ordinary people living extraordinary lives.
