Advantages of Stainless steel & Iron in one! Start cooking in 60 seconds with its rapid heat transfer and excellent heat retention.
NEW YORK, NY, May 03, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — HANIL, a company specialized in creating kitchenware based on Material Engineering Design, is launching ‘Iron Core’, a metal pan that takes just one minute to preheat, on the global crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter.
Regular stainless steel pan is a popular material for kitchen utensil as it’s durable, versatile, easy to care. Despite these advantages, it’s not perfect. Stainless steel pan can take up to more than 5 minutes to preheat. If you do not manage the time delicately, you’re likely to burn or overcook the food.
To solve this problem, HANIL developed the ‘Ion Core Arc Clad’, which combines iron with stainless steel for the first time as a kitchen appliance. Unlike the existing 5-ply stainless steel pan, which preheats slowly and cools down quickly, this innovative product improves thermal conductivity by 200%. As a result, the preheating time is shortened to 1/6 and the preheat can be completed within 1 minute.
Iron CoreTM is HANIL’s patented technology that combines the advantages of stainless steel and iron. Previously, there was no 5-ply product with iron in plate form. Now an innovative clad was created by putting high-purity All-Ferrite iron with high thermal conductivity corrosion-resistant stainless steel. It steadily delivers the strong heat in the clad to make the fish crispier, and it is much easier to cook because it is unlikely to stick to the pan due to one minute preheating.
The existing induction stainless steel pan is made of 340 stainless steels, which is magnetic but heavy and weak in thermal conductivity. However, ‘Iron Core’ optimally reduces the thickness and weight of the clad instead of iron. It performs best when used in an IH (Induction Heating) type electric range and can be used for al other heat sources.
HANIL’s ‘Thermal Engineering Design’ has increased thermal conductivity and heat retention rate. ‘Iron Core’ reaches the optimal preheating temperature of 185°F in 1 minute when preheated by medium-high heat, and can be cooked well even after reduced to low heat. Because the heat conservation rate of the pan is excellent, it has enough heat to cook with low heat which is economically useful too.
Normal stainless steel pans deform by heat when used for a long time, but ‘Iron Core’ is designed with an angled edge to minimize thermal deformation. The outer surface is coated with a 7th generation ceramic coating, which is highly heat resistant and durable, so it can be used for a longer period of time.
The new version of ‘Iron Core’, created after endless development and research, will be launched in January 2023, and will be sold at a discounted price only on Kickstarter. More details can be found on the campaign page.
